Graco Pack And Play For Baby
is this normal for a one week old baby?
so i know i didn’t give birth to superbaby… which is why i’m a little perplexed.. lol. when i laid him down yesterday, i put him vertical, feet facing one direction. about an hour later, he had rotated his whole body about 90 degrees. then last night, after a couple hours, his feet were facing the complete opposite direction.. so he somehow rotated his whole body 180 degrees lol…. is this normal? is it safe? how is he able to do this?
he usually sleeps in his graco soothing center.. kinda like a swing. i dont want to cause bad habits early tho so i started putting him in his pack and play and crib…. could he just be uncomfortable? he never sleeps at night really.. he fusses every half hour or so…?
Hmmm…sounds like my little melly bean. Well, i used the bumper thingys to prevent my little one from rolling or turning over and that worked ok with my first one. Also…i wrapped him up and swaddled him for a couple weeks at night and let him stay legs open during the day. This way, he was warm and comfy at night and was able to sleep better. The soothing center is just that…who bought that by the way….what a great idea? It will soothe him and comfort him and it cradles him…which is why he sleeps so peaceful during the day. At night, he’s not in there…and you are giving him the room to squirm…and he knows he has the space so why not use it? My advice…open feet and outfits that let him stretch during the day and maybe a little more time in the pack and play…or on that play mat. And at night, make him cozy like he was in your tummy. Swaddle him up…put the bumpers down…and let the booger sleep in peace. Of course, after a couple weeks you can loose the swaddle stuff, but dress him warm and put the bumpers up. Just a suggestion.
