infants choking on mucus
What can I do for my infants cough?
My 1year old Son is suffering at night from a terrible cough. It sounds so bad I cant sleep because Im worried he is going to choke (its a mucus type cough) I went to target and for children his age they have only Tylenol (fever) and Motrin (pain). I was hoping I could get some suggestions from other MOM’s on home remedies, other medications, and how they handled it when there babies were sick.
* I don’t need any rude responses. Of course I will be calling his pediatrician on the matter and I would never treat him without consulting with his pediatrician.

Try running a humidifier in his room at night. We did this for my son and it helped alot. If he knows how to blow his nose, have him blow his nose really well before lying down. If he doesn’t know how then use one of those bulb suringes and suction it for him. YOu will be amazed at how much this helps. My son was the same way and I was just like you. I would being laying in bed and I would hear him start coughing and gagging and I would bolt upstairs to check on him. He was always okay but it still was pretty scary. Also try to rub some Baby VIcks on his chest and feet. It works
Good luck with your little one.
