alternative vaccine schedule infants

CDC Vaccine Schedule…For? or Against?

I’m curious to hear what you mothers out there have chosen to do as far as vaccinating your children.

I’m a first time mom and our daughter has her 2 month well-baby check up tomorrow and I have been reading so much into the vaccinations and statistics and whatnot the last few weeks.

Do you agree with the CDC vaccination schedule? Or do you agree with the alternative vaccination schedule of waiting until an infant is 2 years of age before being given vaccines. I would love to hear your opinions!! No need to sugar-coat them either. I want to hear exactly what your opinions are.

Thank you so much to everyone who responds.

I am getting my baby vaccinated as scheduled. I wont risk my child’s health by waiting, a disease won’t wait to infect them. And I think not vaccinated is a bunch of garbage. Why all of a sudden do average men and women think they know better then modern medicine? Modern medicine responsible for saving babies that wouldn’t have lived 50 years ago, but who survive now, and just in general extending the average life span, part of which, is because of these vaccines. Polio paralyzed 13000 to 20000 and killed 1000 people ech year, before the vaccine came out. These people know what there doing, and if in fact, these vaccines were actually dangerous, and were causing some of the things people say they cause, then they wouldn’t be given anymore. I’m sorry, but the pros, far out weigh the cons!

I do wanna say, I think it’s great that people are informing themselves, and researching what is being done to their children, but reading couple of articles, and/or books doesn’t make you an expert in modern medicine.

But you also have to consider the sources, in which you are getting your info. Hepatitis B is not just an STD! It can transferred through feces, which believe it or not is found on almost everything, and saliva. Think about it your child touches a toy after another child, who unknowingly has hep b, and has been digging in there diaper, now you child puts their hand in their mouth. Scary! Also is commonly transferred in food that has been preparred in unsanitary conditions, true it is mostly found in poor communtiy’s, and or where it is over populated, but you don’t know if the kid you kid is playing with is from one of these neighborhoods!
